Klenčí pod Čerchovem located in Western Bohemia, west of Domazlice. The town is situated at the eastern edge of the mountains Czech forest, and as the name suggests, the mountain peak Čerchov (1042 m.n.m.). West of the city, rising wooded slopes of hills and northwards is built ponds. Towards the west near the city is built on the north slope of the peak Sadek (853 m.n.m.) downhill tow. Another interesting destination for excursions from Klenčí the south of the city a place called Perspectives. This is a place with a very nice view of the surrounding area, there is positioned approximate drawing board with the landscape, which is a detailed description of the surrounding landscape. There was also a monument dedicated to the writer Henry Simon Baar (1869-1925).

Klenčí Chodská settlement was founded in 1325. In the second half of the 17th century, the village became a town. In 1969 he worked in the town three major guilds and baker, miller and carpenter. In addition to these guilds also they worked in paličkovaly potters and there arose a nice lace and embroidery. In 1910 was completed in the railway line leading from Tachov to Domažlic. At the end of the Second World War, the town was heavily damaged by bombing. In 1995 it was declared Klenčí urban area, with a very nice folk architecture. At the spot where once stood before the shrine, he was in 1737-1745 built the baroque church of St. Martin. Fara belonging to the church was newly built in 1947. In 1945 it was confirmed that the tomb of St. Martin was buried Wolf Maxmilián Lamingen (called Lomikar). An important historical building in the Old Post Office, which previously belonged to the customs house and inn. The building was built in 1546. The inn in 1799 hosted the Russian General Suvorov, who had had a stopover on the way back from the Russian campaign. The inn still had one distinguished guest and in 1815 Russian Tsar Alexander. Klenčí town boasts three famous natives and writer J. Š. Baar (1869-1925), composer Henry Henry (1876-1967) and writer Jan Vrba (1889-1961). The so-called urban Baar museum exhibition devoted to these natives.
